Anna Skov Hassing, lives and works on the isle of Møn in Denmark.

Her practice takes shape in painting, text and installation. She draws on blurring the borders between the personal and the collective and gathers inspiration broadly from poetry, belief, rituals, trauma to science, history and society.

In her paintings and installations, she often works with amplifying proportion and displacement, to question pre-settled hierarchies and historiography. She is concerned with our perception of time, scale and belonging.

She holds an MFA from Malmö Konstögskolan (tutor Emily Wardill), 2018 and a BFA from Hochschule für bildende Künste (klasse Matt Mullican) in Hamburg, 2015.
